Once we receive the request, we will get to work. We try to get your car from A to B as quickly as possible. The delivery time depends on various factors. For international transport, it usually takes ten working days to reach the destination.

During transport, your car is insured according to the terms of the CMR or AVCM. If your car gets damaged during transport, the damage is covered up to a certain amount. If you want 100% coverage for your car, you can take out additional transport insurance with us.

The CMR convention is an international treaty that regulates the rights and obligations of truck drivers and transport companies transporting goods by road between different countries in Europe. The convention applies to international road transport of goods and regulates, among other things, the liability of the carrier for damage to the goods during transport and the obligations of the carrier and the sender regarding documentation and insurance.

The CMR Convention applies to almost all international road transports within Europe. It aims to provide a uniform set of rules that apply in all countries that have signed the convention, in order to facilitate cross-border transportation of goods. The convention offers protection to both the carrier and the sender and ensures clarity and transparency in the agreements and obligations that apply to international road transport.

AVCM stands for "General Transport Conditions for Road Transport of Goods." It is a set of conditions established by industry organizations in the transport sector to regulate the rights and obligations of the carrier and the sender in road transport of goods. The AVCM determines, among other things, the liability of the carrier for damage to the goods during transport, the obligations of the sender regarding the goods to be transported, and the payment of transport costs.

The AVCM (General Transport Conditions for Road Transport of Goods) have an impact on the transport by ensuring clarity and transparency in the agreements and obligations between the carrier and the sender. By using the AVCM, both parties know their rights and obligations, which leads to fewer discussions and conflicts during transport. Additionally, the AVCM provides protection to both the carrier and the sender by determining who is responsible for various aspects of the transport. This can contribute to a more efficient and safer transportation process.

In Germany and Austria, powers of attorney, also known as Power of Attorney, are often used when picking up vehicles. These powers of attorney authorize our driver to load the specific vehicles of an order. At JUR, it is possible to sign this power of attorney online using your phone, for example. Printing, signing, scanning, and returning the document are no longer necessary.

If you want to import a car to the Netherlands, there are several things you need to consider. When importing a car, you will need to arrange the necessary documents, such as the registration certificate, purchase invoice, and any inspection reports. Additionally, you will have to pay import duties and VAT (value-added tax) based on the value of the car, unless it has been previously registered in an EU country. Therefore, it is advisable to seek proper information about the rules and procedures applicable to importing a car from abroad, so that you are not caught off guard by any surprises.

In order to ensure that your imported car can be driven on the roads in the Netherlands, you need to meet several requirements. Firstly, the car must comply with Dutch laws and regulations, such as the APK inspection and BPM (vehicle tax) assessment.

For the APK inspection, you need to bring the car to an RDW (Dutch Vehicle Authority) inspection station. During the inspection, they will assess whether the car is safe to drive on the road. Additionally, you will need to pay BPM, which can be calculated based on factors such as the car's CO2 emissions and purchase price.

To register the car in the Netherlands, you need to apply for a registration certificate (kentekenbewijs) from the RDW and arrange for the vehicle to be transferred into your name. You will need to provide the necessary documents, such as the purchase invoice, inspection reports, and foreign registration certificate.

Once you have met all the requirements and the car has been approved, you will receive the new Dutch registration certificate, and you will be able to drive your imported car on the roads in the Netherlands.

It is possible to have your car delivered on a desired date and time. However, please note that additional costs may apply. Have questions about this? Contact us.
